Australia Cultural Study Tour 2026

In order to promote multicultural inclusion and enhance students’ understanding of different cultures, history, biodiversity, environmental protection, arts, lifestyles, and further education opportunities, as well as to provide opportunities for students to use English, our school held an Australian cultural study tour from July 21st to 26th, 2026.

The objectives of this study tour include:

To understand different cultures, history, art, biodiversity and people's lifestyles.
To broaden students' horizons and promote their holistic development.
To provide students with opportunities to use English and enhance their learning motivation.
To develop students' generic skills and communication skills.

During the study trip to Sydney of Australia, students visited:

1. The Royal Botanic Garden, learning about plant diversity and the relationship between plant conservation and environmental sustainability;

2. The Sydney Opera House, including Concert Hall and the Joan Sutherland Theatre. Through the guided tour, students learned about the stories behind its construction, gained historical knowledge, and learned about architectural details and design wisdom;

3. The Art Gallery of New South Wales, exploring the diverse expressions of Australia's indigenous cultures through visual language, discovering diverse visual arts, understanding Indigenous art and culture, and experiencing "learning by doing" and visual culture;

4. The Australian National Maritime Museum, where students boarded ships, experienced walking on decks, crawling into submarines, and touching historical traces, learning about marine science and environmental history;

5. Central Baptist Church. 6. Church, students entered a historic and religiously significant church in an Australian community for a special Bible study;

6. The University of Sydney: Through guided tours and campus visits, students can gain a better understanding of the student life and campus culture of Australian university students, learned more about university studies in Australia, and set learning goals;

7. Taronga Zoo: Learned about the diversity of native Australian animals, the methods of animal conservation from the classroom to the real world, and further emphasize the importance of environmental protection and ecological security.

In addition, students would have the opportunity to admire the Sydney Harbour Bridge, visit Darling Harbour and The Rocks, apart from enjoying the uniquely Sydney scenery, students can also understand the history and culture of European settlement in Australia. They also visited the weekend markets, explored Sydney's original art and craft market, experienced local gatherings, and even interviewed and conversed with local people to learn about their lives and culture. In summary, this activity broadens students' horizons and promotes their holistic development.
