Sister School Visit to Bethel High School Exchange Activities
Over forty teachers and students from sister school in Chengdu, Sichuan (Chengdu NO.7 Wanda High School) visited us on 5 February 2026 (Thursday), We arranged various activities for them on that day in order to understand much more of each other, exchange ideas, strengthen our friendship and allow them to experience the characteristics of Bethel High School and Hong Kong.
The day's activities were diverse, including the introduction of both schools about the different educational characteristics and latest developments. Students from the sister school then participated in games and activities with our student ambassadors, getting to know each other and exchanging ideas. Following this, some non-Chinese speaking students from different ethnic backgrounds participated in an interactive English learning activity, which not only helped enhance their motivation to learn English and their understanding of Hong Kong's unique characteristics but also deepened friendships and strengthened their sense of cultural integration. The teachers of sister school were able to taste the well prepared coffee from our school's coffee team and expressed their appreciation for the students' brewing skills. We also arranged two traditional handicraft workshops for them, including Mini Flower Board Crafting Workshop and Dragon Beard Candy Trial Class, so as to experience Hong Kong's traditional crafts and food production. During the lunch time, they tried some Hong Kong's specialty snacks and ethnic minority foods. Besides, our visitors from Chengdu watched the Oriental Dance performance and Pakistani folk dance, gaining a multi-faceted understanding of Hong Kong's unique characteristics and multiculturalism.
Finally, the two sister schools held a friendly pickleball match, experiencing this emerging sport and further strengthening friendships among the students, ensuring a memorable experience.
Although the day-long exchange activity has come to an end, the sisterhood between the two schools is believed to be maintained forever, and the friendship between the students of the two schools will not be interrupted by distance.
