Celebration for Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day ( 6-2-2013 )

On 6th February 2013, a number of activities were organized to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day. Three game booths, namely “Lantern Riddle” Game, Red Packet Lantern-making, and Valentine’s Day Quiz, were set up in the covered playground during lunchtime. While participating in the “Lantern Riddle” Game, students could learn more English vocabulary items about Chinese New Year and enhance their understanding of Chinese New Year traditions and culture. Besides, students explored their creative skills through the lantern-making activity by using red packets, while having a lot of fun. By taking part in Valentine’s Day Quiz, students got the opportunity to understand the importance of love and relationships. They also learnt about the various symbols associated with Valentine’s Day and the traditions observed in various parts of the world.
