Secondary One Discretionary Places 2024-2025

1. The application period is from 2 January to 16 January 2025.
2. The application form can be downloaded from our school website or obtain ed at the School Office.
   Office Hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
3. The following documents must be submitted in person to the School Office or via the SSPA e-Platform within the application period. ( Recommendation letters are not required. )
   a. The completed School S1 Discretionary Places Application Form
   b. The completed Application Form issued by the EDB
   c. The photocopy of student’s identification documents (Birth Certificate or Identity Card)
   d. A photocopy of P5 (whole year) and P6 (first term) school report cards
   e. Photocopies of certificates or awards of extra curricular activities
   f. A self addressed stamped envelope
   g. A recent photo
4. According to the regulations of the Education Bureau , each student may apply to NOT MORE THAN TWO participating secondary schools listed in the Handbook for Application for Secondary One Discretionary Places. Otherwise, the discretionary
   place (DP) applications will be rendered void.
5. There will not be any written examination for this application. All applicants will be notified by phone in late February to attend an interview o n 8 March 2025. Parents of successful applic a nts will be notified of their children’s inclusion in the Successful List for Discretionary Places by both letter and phone on 31 March 202 5 . The results will be released on 8 July 2025 together with the Central Allocation results.
6. The available number of Discretionary Places for Secondary One in 2025 2026 is 20. The selection criteria and weighting are as follows:

   （1） 教育局提供之成績次第 Rank Order List provided by the EDB 20% （2） 學業成績 Academic Performance 20 % （3） 操行及態度 Conduct and Attitude 30 % （4） 課外活動 Performances in Extra Curricular Activities 20 % （5） 面試表現 Interview Performance 10 %

7. Information provided would only be used for the secondary one discretionary places application.
