Curriculum
The Design and Technology curriculum is structured around the following key components:
- Design Fundamentals: Students will learn the principles of design, including elements of form, function, and aesthetics, and apply them to various design challenges.
- Engineering and Prototyping: Students will acquire hands-on skills in the use of tools, materials, and techniques for creating physical prototypes and models.
- Digital Design and Fabrication: Students will explore the use of digital design software, 3D modeling, and computer-controlled manufacturing processes, such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
- Integrated STEAM Projects: Students will work on interdisciplinary projects that combine design, engineering, and technological solutions to address real-world problems, with a focus on the application of STEAM-based knowledge and skills.
- Technology, Society, and Sustainable STEAM Practices: Students will examine the ethical and environmental implications of technological advancements, fostering a responsible and sustainable approach to design and innovation, with a focus on the integration of STEAM principles for sustainable solutions.
