- Urdu is the National Language of Pakistan which is widely spoken, read, written, and understood in all parts of the country. Therefore, every learner of Urdu should be able to attain all these skills.
- Urdu is a significant language in foreign countries too. From publication and communication point of view, it is considered one of the most popular languages of the world. Every learner of Urdu should be able to get awareness of all these aspects.
- Urdu, besides conversation, is implemented in the fields of literature, journalism, offices, judiciary, education, science, technology, culture, politics, and sports etc. Therefore, the learners should be able to equip themselves in accordance with this aspect of Urdu.
- Urdu has the capacity to absorb words, notions, the art of speaking and genres from other languages. In this regard, the Urdu learners should be able to show their talent in word formation and composition in Urdu.
- Urdu has the potential to cope with modern demands. Therefore, Urdu learners should be able to know the modern needs/wants in respect of Urdu and get command of the required skills for this purpose.
- Urdu learners, whether or not from Urdu speaking families and pre-school Urdu speaking environment should be taught in such an integrated way that they acquire it with equal competence.
