Course Overview
The curriculum aims to inspire students' innovative thinking and problem-solving skills. By promoting diverse learning activities that integrate various subject contents, students could have the opportunity to apply knowledge from Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) in their learning environments and daily lives, thereby cultivating their ability to meet the needs of future technological developments.
The STEAM education curriculum sparks students' interest in learning STEAM-related subjects, fostering their creativity, collaboration, application, and problem-solving abilities to prepare themselves for the future. Through participating professional development activities for the teachers, so as to enhance their capabilities in implementing STEAM education, focusing on the school-based STEAM themes of "Artificial Intelligence" (AI) and "Virtual Reality Metaverse."
Students will learn the fundamentals of AI, different types of AI technologies, and their applications in the real world and the metaverse. They will explore and understand the GPT model, safely and compliantly using prompts to complete various tasks. Students will also learn the concepts and characteristics of metaverse programming, including the creation of virtual worlds and interactive design.
In this academic year, courses on AI, GPT metaverse programming, digital art, game design, and programming have been added.
